This project is a restaurant menu I designed for Sizzle Spot. I wanted the theme to be homey, because the restaurant was known for its make your own dishes. However, I also wanted to give an elegant style in order for the menu to fit with the restaurant’s ambience. Therefore, the theme of the design is wood and black.
The biggest challenge I faced was to create a cohesive composition for all the sections. Each section (Appetizer, Signature Dishes, Drinks, etc) came with different information, such as different line counts and ways of display. Additionally, with barely enough spacing, I struggled with organizing the information with a clean design. The Signature Dishes were the most difficult to work with. The proportion of the menu made it difficult for me to create a layout that would fit all the dishes in that section.
