Khai
A Michelin restaurant in San Francisco founded by chef Khai, the head judge of Vietnam's Iron Chef.
When chef Khai first approached me, he asked for a simple and elegant logo. Most importantly, he wanted something that is authentic to the Vietnamese culture. After some discussions, I decided to create a Vietnamese inspired type. Every student in Vietnam, including me, spent countless hours in their Elementary years perfecting every written letter. The curves of "K" and how it connects with "h" leads into the rounded "a" and loops to the letter "i"

Slice of Nature
Slice of Nature is a dried fruits company that cater their products to the elderly consumers.
The logo embraces a vintage style. The overall composition of the logo gives an illusion of an oval shape to create an organic and vintage style, rather than sharp and modern. The text is kept simple to draw attention to the illustration. The realistic illustration gives an authentic feeling to help build a strong connection with the audience. The purpose of the earth tones is to help define the company’s product, dried fruits.
